Week 10

County League Division 1 - Round 1

Glenbeigh / Glencar 0-9 Dr Crokes 0-9

In a game which ended in a draw neither side could argue that they left it behind them. In my opinion, a draw was a fair result. Both sides had chances of winning but the defences on both sides were on top and kept down scores from play right through the game. A first half statistic our management would not be happy with that our forwards contributed just one point from play. The halftime score was 0-6 each.

The Second half was again nip and tuck. In fairness to the forwards on both sides the heavy surface made it a day for defences. Even though our opponents had the first score of this half, a point in the 33rd minute, we sent over three points without reply to go two points ahead going into the final quarter. Glenbeigh / Glencar had the only two scores in the last fifteen minutes, two points for a draw when the Referee sounded the full time whistle.

It's still only March and the game was good preparation for the next months Club Championship.
