Spa got off to a bright start and had 3 early points without reply. We followed up with 4 unanswered points to go a point ahead at end of 1st quarter. Our opponents outscored us 4 points to 1 in the next 19 minutes to go 2 points clear. A goal by Tony Brosnan after a great run by Micheal Burns in the 28th minute put us back in front. Both teams scored 3 points in the remaining minutes. This left us ahead at half time by 1-8 to 0-10, a lead we never relinquished.
We started the 2nd half the better and outscored our opponents by 0-5 to 0-1 to leave us 5 points ahead at end of the 3rd quarter. Spa rallied with 2 points but a goal by Mark O'Shea in the 46th minute gave us a lead of 2-13 to 0-13. The teams exchanged points in the next few minutes but 1 point in a row by spa left just 4 points between the teams as we entered the last 5 minutes plus injury time. The team exchanged points on 3 occasions to leave us still 4 points clear. A point in the 67th minute by our opponents gave us victory in the end on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-18.

Progressive 31 takes place every Wednesday in Crokes Clubhouse. It will start at 8 pm. All you need to bring is €5!

Bingo
The Dr Crokes Club Bingo has commenced and will be on every Sunday night in St Mary's Parish Hall at 8.30 pm. There will be 10 games plus a jackpot along with a raffle for 3 hampers from here until Christmas,. Everybody is welcome, doors open at 7.30pm. Patrons are asked to park in car parks near the venue and to respect the rights of residents nearby.
