Senior Club Championship Dr. Crokes 1-13 Austin Stacks 0-11. In a tight game played in glorious conditions in Lewis Road we were lucky to get the result that we needed to avoid the threat of a relegation play off. Austin Stacks started the better scoring 3 points from play after just 5 minutes of play. It took until the 7^th minute for Cian McMahon to open our scoring with a point from play. Micheal Burns worked well to give us the lead for the first time in the game after scoring 3 consecutive points with 14 minutes on the clock. We played well for the remainder of the second half after being at a numerical disadvantage having lost Brian Looney to a black card in the 18^th minute. Half time score, Dr. Crokes 0-06 Austin Stacks 0-04. It was point for point at the beginning of the second half as Brian Looney cancelled out 2 Stacks points with 2 well taken points from play. The turning point in the game was in the 43^rd minute when Micheal Burns was taken down in the square and Tony Brosnan converted from the penalty spot, giving us a 5 point lead. We played well for the last 17 minutes and never looked like giving away our lead. We finished comfortable winners in the end.

LOTTO TOOK PLACE ON August 22^nd Numbers drawn were 4,15, 20, 27 Jackpot not won. 10 patrons matched 3 numbers and receive €40 each. Jackpot for draw on August 29^th will be €9,200. We are calling on all members to support our weekly lotto as this represents one of the main sources of revenue for the club.
