OPEN DAY: Our Saturday Morning Academy returns this Saturday March 1st with a very exciting Open Day. Plenty Fun & Games guaranteed. We Always Welcome New Boys & Girls of any age. Just come to Lewis Road any Saturday from 10:00am to 12 noon. 
JUVENILE FOOTBALL: The U12 Footballers continue their preparation for the season on Mondays 4:00pm to 5:00pm and on Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm. Don't forget your mouth-guards!! Our U14's & U16's are well down the road of pre-season work & will begin challenge games quiet shortly. If you have any enquiries regarding any age group, please feel free to contact our Coaching Officer; John O'Shea (087-2488768).
REFEREE'S COURSE: A Refereeing Course will be run by Coiste na nÓg Chiarrai on the following dates; 18th, 20th, 25th & 27th March (Tuesday and Thursday evenings). They will take place in Tralee with the venue to be confirmed. Please contact a club officer before the deadline for registration; 5:00pm, Monday 3rd March.
CONRADH NA GAEILGE: The Irish Language Weekend starts this Thursday, 27th February, at 9:00pm in the Killarney Heights Hotel with a talk by Séamus Ó Máille. Ther ewill be Irish Music on Friday night with Micheál Ó Gliasáin in attendance. Doors open at 8:00pm. Our own tAth. Tomás Ó Luanaigh will be the after breakfast speaker on Saturday morning. At 2:00pm on Saturday, several Gael-scoileanna will play 9-a-side games at Dr. Crokes GAA Club in Lewis Road. Finally, the Beaufort Biddies will be special guests on Saturday night and Tim Ó Sé agus a chairde will be the musicians on both nights. Entry is free of charge.
KERRY SPORTS STAR AWARDS 2013: The first Rentokil Initial Kerry Sports Star Awards took place on Friday, 21st February in the Malton Hotel. There was an attendance of over 500 at the event where Colm Cooper received the Gaelic Footballer of the Year Award and the Dr. Crokes Senior Football team won Team of the Year. We extend our thanks to all those who nominated both recipients and to the judges for choosing us in what were very talented fields.

LOTTO: Draw took place in the Tatler Jack on Sunday last. The jackpot was not won. Match 3, 17 winners received €25. Next week's jackpot is €6000. Draw will take place in Jack C's.

ALL IRELAND S/F: Dr. Crokes 1-11 Castlebar Mitchels 3-13 .Unfortunately, the trip to Portlaoise on Saturday last ended in disappointment. While we started well, we went in a point down at the break. Castlebar got off to the better start in the second-half but we pulled it back to within a point with 15 minutes to go. In the closing stages, Castlebar finished strong to claim the All-Ireland Final spot. Great credit is due to the players and management for what they have achieved and no doubt they will return to the fold in 2014. A special thank you to all the supporters who travelled in great numbers to support the team. Also, a special thank you to the members of fellow Kerry clubs for their support.

CLOTHES BANK: There is a clothes bank now permanently located at the rear of the clubhouse. Any old clothes, no longer required, can be deposited in bags at all times. As well as providing valuable funding to our juvenile section, proceeds from the bank also go towards the ISPCC.

EK U21 CHAMPIONSHIP S/F The Dr. Crokes U21 team qualified for the final after coming out on the right side of a tremendous battle with a 2pt victory over Glenflesk after extra-time on Sunday 2nd February. Final score: Dr. Crokes 1-12, Glenflesk 0-13.

GAA NATIONAL CLUB DRAW: Tickets for the GAA National Club Draw are now available. There are great prizes to be won and all the funds raised will stay in the club.

AGM: The AGM was held on Wednesday 22 January. Chairman Ger O'Shea presided over the large gathering. Secretary Matt O'Neill presented a detailed report outlining all the activities in the club in the previous 12 months. Tributes were paid to all teams, especially the Senior side on winning 4 Co. Championships, 8 O`Donoghue Cups and 3 Munster Club titles in a row.

Tributes were paid the officers who did not seek re-election; Assistant Secretary Helen Fitzgerald, Treasurer Niall O'Mara, PRO John Keogh, Scor Officer Geraldine Lyne and IT Officer John C. O'Shea.

CONGRATULATIONS: to Aaron Murphy on winning a Munster Colleges medal with Colaiste Ghobnatan, Ballyvourney. They defeated Colaiste Na Phiarsaigh on a score-line of 7-08 to 5-04.

SYMPATHY: to Paul Downey on the death of his sister, Kay, in Dublin and to the Clifford family on the the death Richard who played for Dr. Crokes.
