BRIDIE O'SHEA: The club extends their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Bridie O'Shea. She could certainly be described as a "Legend" of the Dr. Crokes Club. A Headford woman, who married Murt O'Shea and from that day on gave a lifetime of service to her family and the Dr. Crokes Club. She was a founder member of the Ladies Social Club and was Chairperson for many years. This sub-committee almost ran the club on its own from the sixties to the eighties at a time when the club was very dependent on it to finance the various teams. It was Bridie's enthusiasm as Chairperson that made us winners in the "Tops Of The Clubs", St. Patrick's Day Parades and Annual Socials. Bridie was a great motivator. She brought people into the club and got them to work as hard as herself to make the club into the great organisation it is today. Bridie was very proud of the work her sons and daughters did for the club and still do today. It must be a record that her two sons Pat and Seanie managed Kerry teams to win All-Ireland Championships, as well as both starring in our All-Ireland Club Football Title win of 1992. Bridie was an inspiration to the club all her life. Ní bheidh a leitheid ann arís. Ar deis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
