Received 27th April 2004                                                                                                           Hi,I am writing to you from Adare Productions – We are the television company behind last year’s Underdogs – The TG4 GAA reality TV show. The series is back again this year and we will be holding trials throughout the country soon. Below is a press release which I hope you might print up and display on your notice board. We are contacting as many clubs throughout the country as we can to let them know that the show is back and the trials are on soon and we’d really appreciate if you could pass this information on to any of your members who you feel might be interested in applying. We want to give the opportunity to as many players as we can to come along and try out. All they have to do is apply on line at www.tg4.ie and hit the Underdogs link. This year Mícheál Ó Muirchearthaigh is joining the panel of selectors and we’ll be going up against his home county of Kerry. Mícheál, along with the two other selectors, Jarlath Burns (Armagh) & Mickey Ned O’Sullivan (Kerry), will be training the lads throughout the year. So, if you could pass on this info – mention it at a committee meeting - print up the press release below and display it in your club – or even chat about it to anyone who might want to apply, we’d greatly appreciate it. Any help we could get in spreading the word would be fantastic Brian Reddin Director Adare Productions Ltd.Tel: ++353 1 2843877adare@eircom.net  www.drcrokes.com/underdog.htm

Received 3rd January 2004                                                                                                          Happy New Year. Calling from your Tara Camogie Club, London.  Our Club has being in existence now since 1986 and apart from playing a competitive sport, comradeship is a major influence for joining our Club.

We are always on the look out for new players and supporters. We won the Junior League this year and were defeated in the Championship final and would like to build on this success and  possibly have two teams next year whilst also raising the profile of our game in London.
We want as many people as possible to know that we are in existence and wondered could you add our web link to your website? We have a very small, simply website, running if you would like to find out a bit more about our Club. Many thanks Sheila Fernandes www.camogie.co.uk

Received 20th June 2003

Several weeks ago I found myself in quest of information about Irish Football. To my surprise, I came upon an article in the "Kingdom" about Dr. Crokes honouring the 1903 Championship Team. In all honesty, it brought a tear to my eye. My grandfather Daniel McCarthy was a member of the 1903 and 1904 Championship Teams. I responded by e-mail and have since received correspondence from Eamonn Fitzgerald, Michael O'Sullivan. I have even received a letter from Mary McCarthy who is married to Patrick, a second cousin I have never had the pleasure of meeting. What a surprise to learn they still live in the house in which my grandfather was born. I have the 1903 and my brother has the 1904 medals. They are our proudest possessions. Our dream is to travel together to visit Kerry and watch some great football. I want to thank all who have responded. You have made my day!

Received 13th September 2002                                                                                          Hello and congrats to everybody associated with the website - it's absolutely brilliant. In fact, if it's this good already in its first year, I shudder to think what the future holds in store for us!!!! I make use of the website to keep up with club news and in particular to book tee times for the golf outings. I thoroughly enjoy coming down to Killarney and meeting up with all the "old faces" .I am always telling other golfers about the fantastic facility available to me i.e. I can see the date, time and venue for the next outing, send an e-mail to reserve a tee time and then check the website before I come down to see who my playing partners are and what time I'm on the tee. Fantastic !!! I'm sure a huge amount of time and energy goes into keeping the website updated - but it's worth it all. It's certainly a venture that should make everybody proud of the "Black and Amber" Happy 1st Birthday - enjoy the celebrations Denis Coleman. p.s. see you at the October golf outing dcoleman.ias@eircom.net
