Dr Crokes 'B' 0-13 ------ Currow 'B' 1-8
( Played at Currow on Tues 1st August 06) Two
late points from David Moloney and Mike O'Donoghue gave
us a two point victory over Currow in this 1st Round
O'Sullivan Cup game. Currow started the game as if they
were going to over-run us and led at the end of the
first quarter by four points to nil. We got into the
game at this stage and notched up three points in the
next fifteen minutes and also kept our opponents
scoreless. This left us just one point in arrears at the
interval 0-4 to 0-3.
We had the first two points of the second half
to go in front. Currow then had two points to regain the
lead. We had three unanswered points to go two points
ahead at the threequarter stage. Currow struck for a
goal but we quickly equalised with a point. It was nip
and tuck to the end, our two late minors giving us
victory.
In a very hard fought even, game David
Moloney's seven points contribution was enormous.
