O`DONOGHUE CUP Dr. Crokes 0- 07 Kilcummin 0- 05. We won our 24th title on Sunday last with a hard earned victory over Kilcummin in difficult conditions. This was a game that the purists would not enjoy but we showed that we can win ugly if needs be. Forced to line out without 4 regulars those who replaced them were not found wanting. A wonderful team performance with each and everyone giving their utmost.

COISTE NA OG Christmas Craic Partynite is back in town on Friday December 5th.  Doors open at 8.30 and will finish at 11.30.  Because of the overwhelming success of this night for our 15 - 17 year olds, it is important not to take our eye off the ball and continue to facilitate the well behaved young people, we would urge all parents to drop off and pick up your sons and daughters at the venue as they are your responsibility while they are off the grounds of the racecourse.
The continued success of this venture by Dr. Crokes, Legion and Spa relies on the smooth running of the event and we would like it to stay this way.  So get your tickets early.  Tickets will be on sale in the schools as per usual.  No Ticket No Entry!
Tickets will NOT be on sale on the night.
Our Bord Na nOg AGM will be taking place on Friday December 12th at 7 o'clock in the Clubhouse.  All parents, guardians, existing coaches and anybody who would like to get involved should attend this meeting.  This is a very important meeting, so note it in your diary, and attend.  The meeting will last one hour at max.

U15 GIRLS Well done to the Under 15 girls team who won the Under 15B county Championship on Saturday last by beating Kerins O'Rahillys on a score line of 4-14 -0 -05.

The team put on a great performance from start to finish. Katie Cronin is goals was outstanding she made some brilliant saves in the first-half which kept us in the game. Our full back line of Ashling Hartnett, Chloe Doherty and Karena O Leary where solid in defence making it very hard for the Rahillys to break through.

Our youngest player Anne Potts who is only eleven played in the half-back line and was superb. Laura Mohoney was a center-half back and stopped many a run by Rahillys. Erica McCarthy the other half-back also played well keeping the Rahillys to only 2 points in the first half and 3 in the second.

Our mid field pairing of Megan Buckley and Rheanna O'Shea where outstanding The way they worked the ball into the forwards was lovely and also they kicked some wonderful scores with Rheanna scoring 2 goals also awarded Player of the Match. Megan Kiely offered support to our midfielders by tracking back and covering the backs and also had some great runs up field it appeared that she was eveywhere. Amy Donovan and Sarah Potts worked well together with some lovely passing between them, they also got there names on the scoreboard with Sarah scoring a lovely goal that appeared to be going over the bar but dipped in a the top of the net. Sarah Brosnan our full forward played well in the top of the square anf her hard work played off with her also getting a goal .Jessica Edwards and Samantha Moras our other forwards marked well and took some lovely well place points. Zoe O'Sullivan came on as a sub in the second half and immediately made her mark with a lovely pass to Jessica who again kicked if over the bar to add to her tally. COISTE NA OG U-8 Hurlers Dr. Crokes U-8 Hurlers traveling to Kenmare last Saturday morning 1st November to participate in a 3 team blitz including Kenmare, Firies & Dr. Crokes.

It was great to have a team from Firies and well done to them for promoting the game out there. The games were played in the Kenmare astro-turf pitch which suited the U-8’s as the sliotar moved much quicker than it would in wet winter conditions on a field.

This is a magnificent facility and ideal for young hurlers and every town should have all-weather pitches to accommodate all sports.

The teams were very even but Kenmare having had more practice on the astro-turf just about came through this time. Dr. Crokes had a panel of 16 and played very well all through and really enjoyed the experience.

All participants received a medal for their efforts and captain for the day Fionn O’Hare Doherty received a lovely trophy on behalf of his team – well done to all concerned and special thanks to coach Matt O’Neill, thanks to Kenmare for hosting the blitz and providing us with plenty of refreshments afterwards.
