Played in
Community College field on Sun 4th March 07.
With the All Ireland Final around the
corner we played an understrength side against Rathmore
in this 1st round East Kerry Super League clash.
The writing was on the wall by the end of
the first half when we went in three points behind, 0-5
to 0-2 even though we had the advantage of the hurricane
breeze in the first thirty minutes.
The second half was a formality for the
visitors who knocked over points from all angles and
distances for a nine point victory. Our lads did try
hard all through but bad misses in the first half when
we had the advantage of the elements destroyed our
chances of making a game of it.
