Senior Football EK League 2008
2006 2007

East Kerry Senior League Sat. Feb. 23rd

1st Round-  Dr Crokes  1-7 ------  Gneeveguilla  0-19.(played in Lewis Road on Saturday 23rd February.)

Even though we were missing several regular players, we still had a good team in action, a team that still was well beaten by Gneeveguilla. One could say that we had only started training whereas our opponents looked like a team who had several sessions behind them and that this contributed to our demise in the second half. I believe myself that a greater effort on our part would have brought us closer at the end. This is not to take anything away from our conquerors who looked like a team who would be challenging strongly for trophies in 2008.

Aided by the strong breeze we matched our opponents score for score in the first half and went in at the interval leading 1-5 to 0-7.

The second half was completely dominated by Gneeveguilla who added on twelve points to our two.

One of the positives to be taken out of the game was that our young players acquitted themselves well, especially Jonathon Clarke and David O'Leary.
