3rd June 2010 : The Gleneagle
Hotel and INEC has announced a major sponsorship deal with
Kerry’s leading GAA club, Dr Crokes. Gleneagle Hotel /
INEC will be the sponsor of the Crokes Senior football
team over the next 3 years and will be investing
significantly in the sponsorship, which will see the
Gleneagle / INEC brand name appearing on the front of
the team jerseys, on the website, as well as in the club
grounds in Lewis Road.
The new jerseys were launched in the
Gleneagle Hotel Killarney on Wednesday night June 2, by
Managing Director of the Gleneagle Hotel, Patrick O’
Donoghue, Officers of the Dr Crokes club and members of
the current squad including one of Irelands most high
profile sportsmen Colm “Gooch” Cooper.

Crokes GAA club, which has such a strong reputation for
generating All Ireland champions.
Dr. Crokes has over 3,000 supporters and is
one of the most popular clubs in the region. 800
members, both male and female, play football and hurling
on a regular basis from the age of 6 onwards. The club
enjoys a huge profile in the county and currently has
Colm Cooper and Kieren O’ Leary in the senior panel and
have had a large representation at senior, under 21, and
minor level over the past few years.

long associations with the club and have been very
generous sponsors in the past. This will go a long way

success in the future, as we look forward to our 125th
anniversary next year where we will be hosting a banquet
in the INEC on Saturday 5th February, where
guest of honour will be Uachtarain Cumann Luth Chleas
Gael, Christy Cooney”.
