1919
The decline in the clubs fortunes
on the playing fields did not reflect in its
representations on the Kerry teams, as Dr’ Crokes
players-Paddy Healy, Eugene Moriarty, Humphrey Murphy,
Maurace Donovan were on the Kerry team that won the
Munster championship that year and Dick Fitzgerald was
a selector.
1920
The Kerry G.A.A. convention was
held in Tralee on February 21st and Dick
Fitzgerald presided in the absence of Austin Stack.
The political and
military situation in Killarney was tense and more
serious issues then gaelic games engaged peoples
attention and increasing numbers deserted the
playing fields for volunteer
training.
1923
Johnny O Mahoney [back from
America] captained Kerry through the Munster and All
Ireland championships right up to the delayed final.
Once again –just like the delayed 1914 county final—he
had to return to the U.S.A. to take up a new job in the
New York fire department.
The Dr: Crokes players
on that Kerry team defeated by Dublin in the 1923 All
Ireland final, played in 1924,- were –Eugene Moriarty,
Denso Hurley and a youthfull Paul Russell
1925

was taken at the County Convention of 1925 that four divisions be
formed North, South, East, & West.

May 7th 1925. Eight clubs attended and all

Fitzgerald, Vice-chairman, Humphrey Murphy, Treasurers,
Cornelius Healy and Pat O Mahoney; Hon,secretaries,
