Club Notes Week 20 2023   22/05/2023

SFL Div.1 Dr. Crokes 0-15 Rathmore 0-12. Another win at home for our senior team sees them top of the table as things stand. The game began in a lively fashion and kept the pace from beginning to end. Mikey Casey opened the scoring inside the 4th minute of play with his first of five first half points, all of which came from play.  Rathmore’s number 14, Fionn Murphy was equally impressive in front of goal scoring 4 frees in the first 30 minutes. Half time Dr. Crokes 0-08 Rathmore 0-06. The second half played much like the first, with high intensity and fast moving football. Alex Hennigan was unlucky not to have added the maximum to our tally when a strong strike veered just north of the upright. Down the other end of the pitch Shay O’Meara was kept busy, making a number of outstanding saves throughout the game. Mikey Casey finished with 6 points to his name. Overall this was a great win and puts us in a comfortable position as we enter round 8.
