CLUB FOOTBALL C'SHIP: We received a bye in Round 1 of the Club Championship and faced Laune Rangers in Round 2 on Sunday last. Laune Rangers got off to the better start with the wind to their backs, going 2 points up in the first few minutes. Daithi Casey opened scoring for Dr. Crokes. We then settled and continued to apply pressure to the Laune Rangers defence. In the dying minutes of the first half, Laune Rangers had a shot on goal but Conor Loughlin made the crucial save. Half-time: Dr. Crokes 0-05, Laune Rangers 0-07. We dominated the second half, Brian Looney and Johnny Buckley on target early. Solid defending prevented Laune Rangers making a comeback. Daithi Casey sealed victory in the 55 minute with a goal. Full-time score: Dr. Crokes 1-15 Laune Rangers 0-08.

KELLOGG'S GAA CUL CAMPS: The Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps are a great way for boys and girls aged 6 - 13 to play the games and learn GAA skills in a fun child-friendly environment - and maybe even help make them a GAA star of the future! Dr. Crokes GAA Club will host a football camp from 30th June - 4th July. Fitzgerald Stadium will host a hurling camp from 28th July - 1st August.

CLOTHES BANK: There is a clothes bank now permanently located at the rear of the clubhouse. Any old clothes, no longer required, can be deposited in bags at all times. As well as providing valuable funding to our juvenile section, proceeds from the bank also go towards the ISPCC.

SENIOR HURLING: The senior hurlers suffered a defeat in their opening County League fixture away to Kilgarvan on Wednesday last. Kilgarvan got off to a brighter start securing 2 early goals. Dr. Crokes retaliated and were unlucky in front of goal late in the first half, Aaron Murphy denied by the up-right on one instance. The second half was a much better affair. Manager, Timmy Hourigan, made some positional changes which brought a renewed freshness to the game. Seanie Morris read play at centre-back and delivered to Seanie Burchill & Mike McCarthy for a number of points from open play. While this put the pressure on Kilgarvan, they held out to win 2-18 to 0-16. SENIOR LADIES: The Senior Ladies made it 3 for 3 over the weekend as they continue on their winning ways in the Senior County League beating Dromid Pearses at home on a scoreline of 6-14 to 1-05. With goals coming from Amanda Brosnan (2), Megan Kiely (2) and 1 each from Rheanna O'Shea and Lisa Courtney. All the girls put in a great team performance.

COISTE NA nOG - FOOTBALL: U12 footballers continue their preparation for the season on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:15pm. 

The U12 girls train on Mondays 4:30pm - 5:45pm and also on Thursdays with the U14 & U16 girls from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. New players welcome. Don't forget your mouth-guards!!

U14 GIRLS: The U14 girls traveled to Scartaglin on Sunday last. They played a hard fought game but it was not to be and were beaten by a last minute goal in the dying stages of the game. Final-score: Dr. Crokes 1-04, Scartaglin 2-06.

U12 GIRLS: This team have played two games so far in the Phase 1 of the Under 12 Co. League, coming away with a victory in both games.They travelled to Kenmare for the first game where the girls put in some great team work and came away the deserved winners on the night.They then took on near neighbours, Spa, in there second game which was a much tighter affair but again the girls worked well together. Niamh Stack and Treasa O'Sullivan worked well in the middle of the field setting up some nice balls in to Caoilinn O'Donoghue, Julie Delaney and Lyselle O'Shea who got some great scores. Five new girls to the team this year, Sarra Neher,Sarah McMahon, Megan Greame, Megan Linehan and Ailbhe Gallaher played in their first competitive competition and where excellent.The back line was solid with Holly Power showing the way. She was ably assisted by Emma Kelly and Leanne Kerins, Jade Potts and Siabh Murphy. Miriam Greene marking was superb. Ana Sheehan had a great game between the posts pulling off some lovely saves. 

U14 HURLING: South Kerry U14 Hurlers had a comprehensive win over Causeway in the second round of the County League Division 1 game on Saturday, 5th April in Lewis Road, Killarney. From the outset, South Kerry were up for this game and took control early on. With a few vital positional changes from the previous game, this team looked a more balanced outfit and really hurled well for the full hour. Donal O’Sullivan was in great form at centre-forward and immediately made a run through the middle for a great goal. This early lead appeared to settle our players and they proceeded to dominate in almost all areas of the field. Liam Twomey excelled at full-back and was ably assisted by Michael Horgan and Conor Lucey. Michael Lenihan, at centre-back also had a tremendous game and delivered great ball into the forwards. Dan McCarthy and Griffin Wharton dominated the middle of the park for the full hour and both put in a huge amount of work. Frank McGuire looked lively all through at wing-forward and Cian O’Sullivan was strong in possession on the opposite wing, both contributing 2 points. Inside, Tom Murnane and Gary Randles worked hard and played their part. U16 HURLING: The South Kerry U16 team suffered a defeat in Round 2 of the Division 1 Co. League on Thursday last to a strong Crotta outfit. Despite losing, all players put in a huge effort right to the final whistle. We have a bye in the next round but will face Lixnaw away in Round 4 on Thursday, 17th April.

U14 HURLING: The U14 hurlers had a comprehensive win over Causeway on Saturday last in Round 2 of the U14 County Hurling League. Final score: South Kerry 5-12, Causeway 0-05.

U12 HURLING: Dr Crokes U12's made a winning start to there Co. Hurling League campaign against Kilgarvan on Friday last. A great display of hurling skills from these young stars who always looked in control after an early goal from Caoilte Setanta O'Cronin. As the game moved on superb displays from Tom Doyle, Jason Kerins and Padraic Looney really started to boss the game. Up front Charlie Keating looked a constant threat. A great start with all players working hard on the night. Dr Crokes winning by 8 points in the end.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CHALLENGE: Congratulations to Denise O'Sullivan who emerged victorious after the seven rounds of this years National League Challenge. Thank you to the large number of people who contributed.
