LOTTO: Draw took place in the J.C. O'Shea's on Sunday last. Numbers drawn 8, 16, 20, 22. There was no winner of the jackpot of â‚¬3,900. Match 3, 9 players each received €45. Next weeks jackpot is €4,200. Draw will take place in the Speakeasy on Sunday 6th March 2016.

EK SENIOR FOOTBALL - SUPER LEAGUE: Dr Crokes 5-17 Spa 0-05. In this game, played in Lewis Road on Friday last, we had a comprehensive win over our neighbours Spa. We got off to a great start with early goals and this seemed to decide the outcome of the game., long before the fianl whistle. We went onto score a total of five goals by the interval. Our five goal scorers were Shane Doolan, Gavin O'Shea, Brian Looney, Bryan O'Shea and Kieran O'Leary. The visitors did have many attacks in this half and kicked some great points but they failed to find the back of the net. Spa did stop the crucial goal rush in the second half but they did have too much of a lead to overturn. The hosts went on to knock over the points for a comprehensive victory. LADIES FOOTBALL: Are you interested in getting involved in coaching and training or just helping out with our ladies footballers. If so, please contact Tommy Brosnan or Catherine Keogh.

Training for our Senior Team and Under 16's will take place on Thursday 3rd of March at 7.15pm

REGISTRATION: Membership fees are now due and must be paid before 31 March 2016 for all members. Players must have paid membership before being considered for Club teams. There is a variety of rates to suit all. For detail and to pay this years membership, contact Registrar Frances O'Sullivan (086-3895230) at the earliest opportunity. Frances will be at the Clubhouse from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday and registration day for all juveniles on Saturday 5th March.

SATURDAY MORNING ACADEMY: The first day of the Juvenile Academy will take place on Saturday, 5th March 2016. This day will also serve as a registration day for all existing and new members. For some of the girls and boys it will be their first time pulling on a pair of boots or taking to the pitch. Some will be sampling our facilities for the first time, while others will be following in the footsteps of their parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts or older brothers and sisters. All will enjoy the fun and games provided by qualified coaches in a safe environment. The first Saturday morning of our academy is a special day in the Club calendar and we would ask all members and those wishing to join, young and old, to come along on the day to share the facilities the Dr. Crokes Club has to offer to the families of Killarney. Why not arrange to bring a neighbour, relative or friend along on the day as we are always open to new members. Any parent whose children are playing with the club are also most welcome to become official members of the Dr. Crokes Club. Activities kick-off with Hurling at 10:00am and Gaelic Football at 10:30am. Should be some day!

EK SENIOR FOOTBALL - SUPER LEAGUE: Dr Crokes 7-16 Kilcummin 1-06. We proved far too good for an under strength Kilcummin on Sunday last in Lewis Road. We scored 6 goals in the first half to have the game won at the interval. The visitors did not play that badly in this half and had plenty of play but where as they were kicking some good points, we were hitting goals at the other end and went in at the interval 6-06 to 0-05 in front. Kilcummin started the second half in a positive manner and had a goal from a penalty in the 32nd minute. LADIES FOOTBALL: Training for our U12 Girls (Born 2004/'05/'06) and U14 Girls (Born 2002/'03) commences this Wednesday, 24th February from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Please spread the word. HURLING COACHING WORKSHOP: South Kerry Hurling Bord na nÓg are organising a hurling coaching workshop for coaches of U6's, U8's & U10's. It is scheduled to take place on Monday, 29th February in the St. Brendan's College at 8:00pm. The workshop will be presented by Limerick GDA, Eoin Ryan. SCÓR SINSEAR: Congratulations to our Senior Scor quiz team Tom Hussey, Noreen Cooper, Daniel Healy, Gerard Hickey who took part in the County Final and acquitted themselves well. Many thanks to Jackie Looney for his quiz guidance.

SCÓR NA bPÁISTÍ: Practice for Scór na bPáistí continues with a new a new date for the East Kerry Final March 11th in the Racecourse Killarney.

BASKETBALL SUCCESS: We are very proud to see 6 girls from Dr. Crokes: Treasa O' Sullivan, Jade Potts, Holly Power, Lyselle O'Shea, Julie Delaney and Ava Sheehan who will travel to Vienna with St Pauls Basketball Club to partake in an U14 Tournament. Congratulations on winning all of your games.

EK SENIOR FOOTBALL - SUPER LEAGUE: Dr Crokes 4-16, Kenmare 1-07. In this game, played at Lewis Road, Dr Crokes triumphed over Kenmare. Both teams were short a number of players but Dr Crokes greater strength in depth allowed them to field a stronger team than the visitors. The first quarter never sparkled with both sides scoring three points each, the home teams three points coming from frees from the returning Kieran O'Leary. Kenmare were level at the end of this fifteen minutes, two of their points coming from frees by Paul O'Connor. CONGRATULATIONS: to Brendan Coppinger on being awarded the Top Garda Award in the Garda Youth Achievement Awards. Congratulations also to St. Brendan's College on winning the Corn Uí Mhuirí Semi Final and to the six starters and four subs from the Crokes.

CLUB FUNDRAISING DRIVE: We have teamed up with the GAA for an opportunity for our Club to raise funds. Tickets are on sale through a number of our members. All funds raised will be retained by our Club. One book of 5 tickets will earn the club €50.00 and if members step up to the plate and push it the financial return should be substantial. The draw is on Friday 11th March so all counterfoils and money should be returned not less than a week before that. Refer to posters for full list of prizes.

SATURDAY MORNING ACADEMY: The Dr. Crokes Juvenile saturday Morning Academy will return on saturday 5th March. We are inviting all parents, players senior and juvenile, male and female who would be interested in getting involved in the coaching on Saturday mornings to please contact Juvenile Chairperson, Tommy Brosnan, who will be delighted to get a position in the coaching academy for you. The various management teams for the U12s, U14s and U16s are now being organised.
